Marathon mania hits Victoria Falls with the seventh Vic Falls Marathon, sponsored by Econet. Over 130 runners lined up at 6.45 this morning for the full marathon, joined by over 400 participants running in the half race.
The marathon is a registered AIMS (Association of International Marathon and Distance Races) event, covering a full 42.2km, with a 21.2km half marathon run and 5km fun run. Runners from all over the region and the world arrived to take up the challenege - after a 30 hour flight from Japan, and only arriving yesterday, this couple were eager to stretch their legs.
This year Zambezi Traveller proudly sponsored runners from the Victoria Falls Anti-Poaching Unit, participating in the half marathon.
